Reception facilities for clients with specific needs
We have a dedicated disabled car parking space with increased access at both sides of it for wheelchair users at the front of the building immediately adjacent to the entrance.
The extra wide main entrance door is at ground level and is step free. It has automatic opening from the outside and touchpad opening from the inside. Intercom systems (main gate and front door) are at a height suitable for use by wheelchair users. Doors to consulting rooms are extra wide to allow wheelchair access.
The client toilet is made to DDA specification and can be used by wheelchair users. It has an alarm.
Wool clouds hang from the ceiling in reception to absorb any sound echo in reception and reduce the impact of interference on hearing aid users. There is a hearing loop system fitted at reception. We can also communicate with hearing impaired clients by text, Petsapp or email.
Reception staff will always consider any special needs of our clients. They will try to anticipate the client’s needs and respond to any specific request promptly and courteously. Should any documentation require a signature, reception staff will bring the documentation on a clipboard to the client. Similarly, the card payment machine can also be brought to the client.
