We're on the hunt for new Receptionists and Animal Nursing Assistants

Our ever-expanding team is looking to acquire some new members so we can continue providing top-class care to the animals that visit our Wellington Hospital, situated just off J26 of the M5. Please select the job title that interests you most to view the full description.

We are looking for people who are good with humans to become part of our expanding team of fabulous veterinary customer care team.

You’ll need to be caring and empathetic with great communication skills. Regularly juggling several things at once, your organisation skills must be exceptional in order to offer an efficient, high quality and compassionate service.

Our reception team are often busy, so the ability to work well under pressure but remain calm and compassionate is essential.

General responsibilities include greeting clients, answering the phones, taking payments, making appointments, dispensing medications, offering recommendations for preventative (worming, flea etc.) treatments, cleaning and much more, no two days are the same.

Full training will be given, however good computer and communication skills are essential and previous experience in a customer facing role would be an advantage.

The role will involve varied shifts during the practice opening hours of 8am-7pm Monday to Friday and Saturday on a rota basis, currently one in five.  We currently have full and part time positions available (Approx 38/20 hours plus Saturday rota).

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Team as an Animal Care Assistant.

This is a vital role in the veterinary practice to help the smooth running of the business and to provide high quality care for our patients.

Duties will include: –

  • Feeding and walking out patients
  • Assisting vets and nurses
  • Laboratory work
  • Kit cleaning and sterilisation
  • Kennel cleaning
  • Washing

The successful applicant will need to be compassionate and caring able to work on own initiative, be reliable and flexible with hours of work.  Hours of work are 40 hours a week between the hours of 7am and 9pm on a rota basis across 7 days a week (max shift 8 hours).  Benefits include, holiday pay, pension, private health care insurance, fun budget, cycle to work scheme and much more.

Full training will be given but you will need a good level of GCSE’s or equivalent.
